Evannah Donovan

Evannah Lee Donovan, 96, formerly of Kirchner Road, died Wednesday evening at Providence Care Center of Lenox.
Born in Adams on Aug. 30, 1905, daughter of John A. and Mary Harrington O'Brien, she attended schools there.
Mrs. Donovan was employed as a spooler at the former Elmvale Worsted Mill for 20 years.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. A homemaker, she took pride in her rug-hooking, needlework and cooking. She also enjoyed reading and playing bingo.
Her husband, Vincent F. Donovan, whom she married March 25, 1924, died Aug. 23, 1976.
She leaves a son, Vincent P. Donovan of Dalton; six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mary Dolorita Donovan Bonin, died Dec. 20, 1974.
The funeral will be Monday, March 4, at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 at Sacred Heart Church in Pittsfield by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday, March 3, from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Donovan may be made to Sacred Heart Church or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
