Rose A. Harrison, 74, of 25 Woodbine Ave. died yesterday morning at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Great Barrington on April 24, 1927, daughter of Joseph T. and Nora Foley Rooney, she was a 1945 graduate of the former New Marlboro High School. She moved to Pittsfield after high school.
Mrs. Harrison was employed as a stenographer and typist at GE Ordnance Systems, retiring after 42 years of service.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Mark's Church and a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs, and the Irish American Organization.
Her husband, Joseph J. Harrison, whom she married July 11, 1964, in Our Lady of the Valley Church in Sheffield, died May 16, 1999.
She leaves a brother, John P. Rooney of New Marlboro, and a sister, Ellen C. Tharion of Pittsfield. She is survived by six nephews and two nieces.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:45 from DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:30 at St. Mark's Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
