Cecilia O'Laughlin

Cecilia T. O'Laughlin, 89, of 1749 East St. died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born Sept. 18, 1912, in Milwaukee, daughter of John A. and Matie E. Mooney Ford, she attended local schools and was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School. She continued her education and graduated in 1935 from Our Lady of the Elms coll-ege in Chicopee.
Mrs. O'Laughlin was employed by the city of Pittsfield as the bookmobile librarian for 10 years. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality. She was also responsible for cleaning the altar, brought in flowers from her garden and was a Eucharistic minister.
She married Philip B. O'Laughlin on June 27, 1942. He died Oct. 22, 1993.
She leaves a daughter, Elizabeth A. O'Laughlin, with whom she made her home; a sister, Rosemary Ryan of Pittsfield, and two grandsons. A son, Stephen O'Laughlin, died Nov. 12, 1989.
There are no calling hours. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church with the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Xavier Church in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, which is handling the arrangements.
