Carmella Grace Niarchos, 89, of 99 Second St. died Tuesday afternoon at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 8, 1913, daughter of Raffael and Rosa Albano Sibbio, she attended local schools.
She was the proprietor of Carm's Beauty Salon on North Street and later worked as a hairdresser at Mayfair Beauty Salon for several years. She retired in 1982.
Mrs. Niarchos was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Her husband, John Stanley Niarchos, died March 4, 1982.
She leaves a daughter, Ellen R. Loran of Lee; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 15, at 12:30 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, celebrated by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 11:30 to 12:30 at the funeral home.
