Scott E. Sargent, 46, of 997 Holmes Road died Saturday at home after a long illness.
Born in Marlboro on Feb. 17, 1955, son of the late Harvey E. and Rita Paradowich Sargent, he attended schools in Delmar, Del., and graduated from Delmar High School.
He was employed as a licensed Realtor in Lowell before moving to Pittsfield 15 years ago. While in Pittsfield, he was the owner of Berkshire Bunnies, where he bred and raised rabbits.
He leaves two sons, Troy E. Sargent and Paul E. Sargent, both of Pittsfield; a sister, Amy Sargent of Salisbury, Md.; two brothers, Mark Sargent of Silver Springs, Md., and Brett Sargent of Polo, Ill.; his grandmother, Kazimira Paradowich of Pittsfield, and his former wife, Karen E. Sargent of Pittsfield.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 14, at 4 p.m. at DWYER FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Jeff Black of the New Life Community Fellowship Church officiating. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 at Dwyer Funeral Home. Mr. Sargent is also survived by a grandmother, Kazimira Paradowich.
