Beverly Filiault

Beverly Filiault, 71, of 65 Merrick St., West Springfield, formerly of Pittsfield, died Monday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 24, 1930, daughter of John and Katherine O'Keefe Shea, she graduated from St. Joseph Grammar School and was a 1948 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.
She moved to Springfield in 1958 and worked in the Springfield City Hall collector's office for 32 years, retiring in 2001.
Mrs. Filiault was a communicant of Holy Name Church and an active donor for the American Red Cross.
She leaves her husband, Patrick J. Filiault Sr. of Connecticut; two sons, Patrick "P.J." Filiault Jr. of Somers, Conn., and William Filiault of Wilbraham; two daughters, Rosann "Rose" Filiault of West Springfield and Katherine Petelle of Granby; a brother, Jack Shea of Pittsfield, and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Filiault.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 14, at 9:30 a.m. from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be at DWYER FUNERAL HOME Thursday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Baystate Medical Center's Katz Oncology Unit, in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, in her memory.
