Donald D. DeFino

Donald D. DeFino, 66, of 78 Northumberland Road died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 3, 1936, son of Nicholas and Olive Dufraine DeFino, he was a 1955 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He also graduated from Wentworth Institute.
Mr. DeFino was employed as a mechanical engineer for Beloit Corp. for 11 years. He left there in 1971 to start his own mechanical engineering consulting business.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
He leaves his wife, the former Rita A. Palmieri, whom he married Oct. 9, 1959; two daughters, Kimberly L. Mattoon and Donna M. McCarthy, both of Pittsfield; a brother, Thomas DeFino of Egremont; a sister, Linda Piacenza of Las Vegas, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 8, at 10:15 a.m. from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Calling hours will be at DWYER FUNERAL HOME Thursday, Feb. 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home in his memory.
