Mildred Bourquard

Mildred Laurin Bourquard, 84, of 12 Reed St., Goffstown, N.H., formerly of 27 Adams St. in Pittsfield, died Sunday at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, N.H.

Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 28, 1917, daughter of Emile J. and Mary Agnes Enright Laurin, she graduated from Pittsfield High School. She moved to Goffstown four years ago.

Mrs. Bourquard was employed by the city of Pittsfield as a crossing guard for 10 years, and also had worked at the Notre Dame rectory at one time. An accomplished seamstress, she worked from her home for many years.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and of St. Lawrence's Church in Goffstown. She was a former member of the Franco-American Club.

Her husband, Victor E. Bourquard, whom she married in 1940, died in 1989.

She leaves three sons, Joseph E. Bourquard of Pittsfield, Daniel P. Bourquard of Nashua, N.H., and Dennis V. Bourquard of Bonita Springs, Fla.; two daughters, Judith Wilbur of Conway, N.H., and Mary Ellen Berg of Goffstown; a brother, Francis T. Laurin of Pittsfield; four grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by a sister, Yvonne M. Rotti, and a brother, Emile Laurin.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 at St. Lawrence's Church in Goffstown, N.H. Calling hours at FRENCH AND RISING FUNERAL HOME, 17 South Mast St., Goffstown, N.H., will be Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 7 to 9. Calling hours at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield will be held Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 7 to 9. A prayer service will be held Thursday at 10 at Dery Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael J. Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Girls Incorporated of Pittsfield , St. Joseph's Church or to a charity of the donor's choice, all in care of Dery Funeral Home.
