Elizabeth M. Cuthbertson, 82, of 31 Donna Ave. died yesterday morning at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Westfield on Sept. 22, 1919, daughter of Arthur and Margaret Cathcart Burke, she graduated from Westfield High School and from Westfield State College, where she received a degree in education.
Mrs. Cuthbertson taught school in Bethel, Vt., in 1941 and moved to Pittsfield in 1942.
A member of South Congregational Church, she enjoyed crafts and playing bridge.
She and her husband, William J. Cuthbertson, were married 59 years July 18.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, John D. Cuthbertson of Chelmsford and Richard W. Cuthbertson of Somersworth, N.H., and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted tomorrow at 11 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, by the Rev. Joel F. Huntington. Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 10 until the time of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Cuthbertson's memory are suggested to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation or the South Congregational Church Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
