Robert Rennie Jr., 56, of 37 Parkwood St., Albany, N.Y., formerly of Pittsfield, died Saturday at home after a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on March 30, 1945, son of Robert Rennie Sr. and Mae Fisher Rennie, he was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
He was a Vietnam War Air Force veteran and received the rank of airman second class.
Mr. Rennie was employed as a Florida highway patrolman.
He enjoyed reading the Bible.
He leaves two brothers, Russell Rennie of Dalton and Harvey Rennie of Great Barrington, and two sisters, Nancy Traversa of Tennessee and Judith Campbell of Pittsfield.
A service of remembrance will be Friday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m. at HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME, with Pastor Tim Carnes of Montville Union Baptist Church officiating. There are no calling hours. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the General Post Fund Voluntary Services at Albany Veterans Hospital, where he was a patient for 10 years, in care of HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
