Marilyn Conrow Middlebrook, 76, of 36 Judith Drive died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Susan A. Salvatore of 380 Hinsdale Road, Dalton.
Born in Pittsfield on March 15, 1925, daughter of Elmer C. "Tim" and Gertrude White Conrow, she was a 1943 graduate of the former Dalton High School and a 1946 graduate of the former St. Luke's School of Nursing as a laboratory technician.
Mrs. Middlebrook was employed as a laboratory technician by the Pittsfield Health Department for 23 years, retiring in 1982.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church and a member of its Rosary Society and of its adult education program. She and her husband, Kenneth, were original members of the Wahconah High School Booster Club, which began in 1969. She also enjoyed reading.
Besides her daughter, she leaves her husband, Kenneth E. Middlebrook, whom she married June 5, 1948; a son, Mark J. Middlebrook of Dalton; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Conrow, who died July 11, 1974.
Funeral services for Mrs. Middlebrook will be held Friday, Dec. 28, at 8:15 a.m. from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St., Dalton, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Agnes' Church, celebrated by the Rev. John A. Koonz, pastor. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
