Anthony C. Teti Sr., 89, of 91 Francis Ave. died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on May 31, 1912, son of Joseph and Mary Talarico Teti, he attended local schools.
Mr. Teti was employed by General Electric Co. for 23 years, retiring as a welder in the power transformer department in 1975.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He enjoyed fishing and walking.
His wife, the former Rose C. Canino, whom he married Sept. 4, 1933, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittsfield, died Dec. 23, 1999.
He leaves two sons, Joseph A. Teti and Anthony J. Teti Jr., both of Pittsfield; four grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place Friday, Dec. 28, at 9:15 a.m. from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, celebrated by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME will be Thursday, Dec. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. Omission of flowers is requested.
