Rita L. Robinson, 80, of 169 Valentine Road died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 20, 1921, daughter of William J. and Blanche Lange Mooney, she attended local schools.
She was employed as a waitress at local restaurants, including the former Rainbow Restaurant on First Street, for 20 years.
Mrs. Robinson was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church.
Her husband, Donald V. Robinson, died Sept. 7, 1989.
She leaves a son, Donald V. "Cookie" Robinson of Pittsfield; a daughter, Donna R. Maloney of Schenectady, N.Y.; a sister, Patricia H. O'Brien of Pittsfield, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 21, at 8:30 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Joseph's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at Dwyer Funeral Home will be from 8 until the time of the funeral. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare of the Berkshires in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
