Paula Connelly Faddis, 57, of 290 Sherman Ave., Waynesburg, Pa., formerly of Lenox, died Monday at Washington Hospital in Washington, Pa., after a long illness.
Born in Lenox on Oct. 30, 1944, daughter of Marie Kergaravat Connelly of Lenox and the late Edward P. Connelly, she was a 1962 graduate of Lenox Memorial High School and a 1964 graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing in Pittsfield.
Mrs. Faddis was employed as a registered nurse supervisor at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg for 17 years.
She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Waynesburg. She also was a member of the Greene County Nurses Club and a volunteer escort at Greene County Memorial Hospital in Waynesburg.
Besides her mother, she leaves her husband, Robert J. Faddis, whom she married Aug. 9, 1966; three daughters, Susan Jane Yocum of Westover, W.Va., Bonnie Anne Faddis of Brentwood, Pa., and Amy Marie Faddis of Winchester, Va., and a sister, Margaret C. Rzeznikiewicz of Pittsfield. She was predeceased by a son, Scott Edward Faddis, who died March 13, 1990.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at BEHM FUNERAL HOME INC., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, Pa., where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Waynesburg, with the Rev. John Batykefer as celebrant, followed by private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scott Edward Faddis Memorial Scholarship Fund, 290 Sherman Ave., Waynesburg, PA 15370, or the American Cancer Society.
