Raymond Dulye Jr.

Raymond J. Dulye Jr., 52, of Rocklin, Calif., son of Ann Vuolo Dulye of Richmond, died Thursday at home after a long illness.
Born in Middletown, N.Y., on Aug. 5, 1949, he was also the son the late Raymond J. Dulye Sr.. He graduated from Valley Central High School and from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Communications.
Mr. Dulye was a pioneer in the development and application of broadcast technologies in the United States and in overseas markets.
As a young man, he worked at the family business, Walden Printing Co., in Walden, N.Y., as a pressman for the family newspaper, The Citizen Herald. He also assisted his father with his daily news broadcasts on Hudson Valley radio stations.
Following college, he was employed by Screen Gems in New York City. He then moved through positions of increasing responsibility with CBS, NBC, Ampex Corp. and the Grass Valley Group. His professional career concluded at Radius Co. in Sunnyvale, Calif., where he led global marketing development efforts.
Mr. Dulye was a survivor of Hodgkin's disease.
Besides his wife, Karen, and his mother, he leaves a sister, Linda Dulye of Warwick, N.Y.; a son, Adam Dulye of Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Casey McCabe of Chicago, and a stepson, Shane O'Malley of Palmdale, Calif.
A Celebration of Life service will be held today, Dec. 8, at 10 at the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul in Rocklin, Calif. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue, 2000 Eastern Ave., Sacramento, Calif.
