Harold C. Bornak, 80, of 99 Second St. died Monday at Hillcrest Commons, where he had been a resident since March.
Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 24, 1920, son of Gustav and Natalie Reiner Bornak, he was a 1955 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
Mr. Bornak was employed in the shipping department of the power transformer division at General Electric Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Senior Citizens and Quarter Century Club.
He leaves two sons, Thomas C. Bornak and James H. Bornak, both of Pittsfield; a brother, Howard N. Bornak of Pittsfield; three sisters, Sarah McClintock, Olga Gleason and Esther Bornak, all of Pittsfield, and his former wife, Frances Rifemburdh Bornak of Pittsfield.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield, with the Rev. Peter Boehringer, pastor of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
