Henry D. "Rick" Farias, 77, formerly of Pittsfield, died Saturday at Prince George Healthcare in Georgetown, S.C.
Born March 17, 1924 in East Falmouth, he was the son of Manuel D. and Adelaide Bonito Farias.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Merchant Marine.
He retired from GE in Pittsfield. He moved to Captains Cove, S.C., from Pittsfield.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge 368 and American Legion Post 178 in Murrells Inlet, S.C., and of Omar Temple in Mount Pleasant, S.C. He enjoyed fishing.
He leaves a son, Peter M. Farias of Pittsfield, and two grandchildren.
