DeEtte Catherine Fyfe, 86, of 54 Williamsburg Terrace died Monday at Craneville Place of Dalton, where she had been a patient since June 1.
Born in Albany, N.Y., on April 28, 1915, daughter of Norman and Lorraine Emerick Price, she graduated from schools in Albany. She moved to Pittsfield in 1974. Prior to that, she had lived in Cheshire, Florida and New York state.
Mrs. Fyfe was a homemaker.
While in Florida, she was a member of the Florida Small Boat Power Squadron and knitting and crocheting clubs in Venice. She had served as a deaconess in the New Lebanon, N.Y., Congregational Church.
She and her husband, C. Ronald Fyfe, were married Sept. 5, 1976.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Carole J. Hanna of Pittsfield; a son, George W. Dickhout Jr. of Pittsfield; a sister, Lurena Marsters of Seminole, Fla.; a stepson, Bruce A. Fyfe of Sheffield; a stepdaughter, Beverly Mazzeo of Pittsfield; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Dr. Roger A. Davis, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Fyfe may be made to St. Charles' Church or to First United Methodist Church in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield 01201.
