Loretta Kenney

Loretta M. Kenney, 86, of 82 Second St. died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 9, 1915, daughter of Edward and Jenny DePelteau Curry, she attended Pittsfield schools.
A homemaker, Mrs. Kenney was employed by South Street News as a cook for more than 15 years.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church.
Her husband, Arthur P. "Spotter" Kenney, whom she married Aug. 23, 1955, died Dec. 18, 1999.
She leaves three daughters, Jeannette W. Thomas of Pittsfield, with whom she resided, Pauline A. McDonald of Dorchester and Debra A. Kenney of Pittsfield; a son, Richard Thomas; a sister, Molly Northwood of Pittsfield; a brother, Ernest Curry of Port Orange, Fla., and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Aaron Thomas.
Funeral services will take place Saturday at 9:15 a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, Pittsfield, with the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor, as the celebrant. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield. Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, are Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations are suggested for the American Diabetes Association.
