Louis P. Lemay Jr.

Louis P. Lemay Jr., 74, of 65 Concord St., Nashua, N.H., a former resident of Pittsfield, died Thursday evening at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua.
Born in Springfield on Nov. 3, 1927, son of Louis P. Lemay Sr. and Blanche Girouard Lemay, he was a 1945 graduate of Nashua High School, where he played football, baseball and basketball. He was inducted into the Nashua High School Hall of Fame in 1994. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Holy Cross College in 1950, where he was quarterback for the football team during the 1946 Orange Bowl against Miami. He had been a resident of Nashua since 1978. He resided in Pittsfield as a young boy.
An Army veteran of World War II, he served in Italy.
Mr. Lemay was an agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance for more than 35 years.
He was a communicant of St. Christopher's Church in Nashua. A sportsman and golfer, he also enjoyed crossword puzzles.
He and his wife, the former Marjorie LaForme, would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary Jan. 27.
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Louanne Lemay and Mary Beth Miller, both of Nashua; a son, Louis P. Lemay III of Nashua; a sister, Lorraine Prestipino of Nashua; a brother, Albert Lemay of Nashua, and three grandchildren.
