Rosemary J. Cook, 67, of 39 Newell St. died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on March 7, 1934, daughter of Charles J. Monteleone Jr. and Mary Carlo Monteleone, she graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1952 and from Austin Beauty Academy in Albany, N.Y.
A hairdresser, Mrs. Cook was the former owner of Rosemary's Beauty Shop. She was last employed by The Berkshire Eagle in the circulation department, retiring in 1985 because of illness.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed playing bingo.
Her husband, Raymond J. Cook Sr., died in November 1962.
She leaves three daughters, Diane Balardini of Pittsfield, Ann Marie Rathbun of Williamstown and Charlene Hudtloff of Templeton, Calif.; twin sons Raymond J. Cook Jr. and Robert A. Cook, both of Pittsfield; two sisters, Josephine R. Carchedi and Kathryn J. Tassone, both of Pittsfield; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 10 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 4 to 7.
