Livio DiGirolamo

Livio DiGirolamo, 66, of 611 East St. died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in San Felice Circeo, Italy, on Sept. 18, 1935, son of Domenico and Armida Massarenti DiGirolamo, he was educated there. He emigrated to the United States in 1979 from Johannesburg, South Africa, where he had resided since 1967.
He served in the Italian Army from 1955 to 1957.
He worked as a stone mason in the family business. He had also been employed by Petricca Industries as a stone mason, and at General Electric Co. as an assembler. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, his family and home.
He leaves his wife, the former Emilia Ambruosi, whom he married June 7, 1959; two sons, Domenico DiGirolamo of Pittsfield and Roberto DiGirolamo of Cheshire; two daughters, Lella DiGirolamo and Sara DiGirolamo, both of Pittsfield; a brother, Aldo DiGirolamo of Italy; two sisters, Rita Gennaro and Giulana DiMauro, both of Italy; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Paolo DiGirolamo, who died Jan. 22, 1997.
Funeral services for Mr. DiGirolamo will be tomorrow at 8:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Mary's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Paul A. Bombardier, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours for Mr. DiGirolamo will be today from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
