Pauline E. Parker, 85, of 239 Lenox Ave. died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Adams on Sept. 23, 1916, daughter of Frank and Veronica Sadowski Gritz, she moved to Pittsfield as a child and attended local schools.
Mrs. Parker was employed at the lunch counter at the Woolworth Department Store on North Street for many years. She later worked at Hillcrest Hospital in the dietary section for 10 years, retiring in 1981.
She enjoyed cats and gardening.
Her husband, Kurtlin Parker, whom she married in November 1983, died in 1984.
She leaves a daughter, Sandra Fletcher of Pittsfield; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Parker was predeceased by a brother, Paul Gritz in 2000, and a sister, Mary Duda in 1981.
There will be no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, is in charge of arrangements.
