Mary A. Thebodo

Mary A. Thebodo, 97, formerly of Rose Manor Apartments, Apt. 1B, 195 Elberon Ave., died Monday at Hillcrest Commons.
Born in Pittsfield on May 21, 1904, daughter of Jeremiah and Margaret Meehan Hyland, she attended local schools.
Prior to her marriage, she was employed at Rice's Silk Mill for several years. She and her husband, Lester, retired to Pompano Beach, Fla., where they resided until returning here in 1989.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She enjoyed sewing, which she continued until the age of 90.
Her husband, Lester C. Thebodo, died May 11, 2000.
She leaves a son, Gerald A. Thebodo of North Billerica; two daughters, Marjorie T. Keehnle of Pittsfield and Elaine A. LaDuke of Lee; a sister, Margaret McGowan of Pittsfield; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by a son, Lester C. Thebodo, who died in 1955.
The family will receive friends Friday morning at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, beginning at 9 a.m. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, with the Rev. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to either HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to St. Joseph's Church Improvement Fund in care of the funeral home.
