Catherine T. "Kati" Kenyon, 82, of Englewood, Fla., a native of Pittsfield, died Saturday at Bon Secours/Venice Hospital in Venice, Fla.
Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 24, 1919, she was the daughter of Peter and Mary Ann Dunn McGovern. She moved to Schenectady, N.Y., where she and her husband, Gordon, raised their family.
A homemaker, she worked as an executive/personal secretary for New England Lime, General Electric Research and Development Division and the New York State Department of Transportation.
She leaves her husband of 58 years, Gordon Kenyon; five sons, Gordon Kenyon of Irving, Texas, Terrence Kenyon of Boulder, Colo., and Timothy Kenyon, Charles Kenyon and Peter Kenyon, all of Schenectady; two daughters, Kathleen Towers of Williamstown, N.J., and Mary Ann Kenyon of Clifton Park, N.Y.; a brother, Terrence McGovern of Pittsfield; two sisters, Agnes McGovern and Mary McGovern, both of Pittsfield; 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
