Mary A. Walsh

Mary A. "Molly" Walsh, 93, formerly of 40 Hamlin St., died Sunday morning at Providence Care Facility in Lenox, where she had been a patient for three weeks.
Born in Pittsfield on June 24, 1908, daughter of John F. and Esther Hosey Walsh, she was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School and of the former Berkshire Business School.
Miss Walsh was employed in the benefits office of GE Plastics business group and later worked in the transformer division. She retired Jan. 1, 1969, with 40 years of service.
She was a lifelong communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality. She was a former member of the Parish Council and served on the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine Deanery, and was a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs.
Miss Walsh was an associate trustee with the Multiple Sclerosis Society, volunteered with the Right to Life of Berkshire County and was a former member of the board of directors for DowneySide.
She leaves many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be today from 3 to 7. The funeral will be tomorrow at 9:15 from the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Joseph's Church celebrated by the Rev. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Church or to Right to Life of the Berkshires, both in care of the funeral home.
