Joan M. Henwood, 71, of 6 Main St. died Wednesday at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center.
Born in New York City on April 2, 1930, daughter of Thomas and Jane Spenser Brown, she was a 1948 graduate of George Washington High School in New York. She moved to Stockbridge in 1957 and to Kennebunk, Maine, in 1967. She attended the University of Portland in Gorham, Maine, where she received her medical administration certification.
She was employed by South Maine Medical Center and for various doctors in the Kennebunk area.
After the death of her husband, Raymond R. Mosher Sr., in 1990, she moved to Lake Helen, Fla., and in 1998, to Lenox. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cats.
She leaves a son, Raymond R. Mosher Jr. of Waterboro, Maine; a daughter, Jean Marie Jordan of Lee; a sister, Jean Murray of Lenox; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday morning at 9:15 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Ann's Church in Lenox, with the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Stockbridge Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Saturday from 8 until the time of the funeral.
