Elvira Ann Spagnola, 81, of Champagne Circle, Orlando, Fla., formerly of Pittsfield, died Monday at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Born in Farnums on June 24, 1920, daughter of Peter and Margarita Bianchi Viani, she graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1939. She moved from Pittsfield to central Florida in 1967.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and a volunteer for Democratic Party Polling Committee. While in Pittsfield, she was a communicant of St. Francis Church. She was an active member of the St. Luke's Auxiliary, a volunteer organization for the hospital, and served as president.
She enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, Dominick Spagnola, whom she married July 5, 1941; a daughter, Anne Marie Welch of Hinsdale; a brother, David Viani of Dalton; a sister, Perina Bobowick of Rome, Ga., and two grandchildren.
