Christine Adrean, 89, formerly of 13 Second St., died Sunday at Berkshire Retirement Home.
Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 17, 1911, daughter of Augustine and Regina Milani Adrean, she was a 1930 graduate of the former Searles High School in Great Barrington and a 1933 graduate of the former Hillcrest Hospital Training School for Nurses.
Miss Adrean was employed as a registered nurse for 38 years, retiring in 1971.
She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and a volunteer for the Berkshire County chapter of the American Red Cross for 18 years.
She leaves several cousins in Italy.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 at All Souls' Church by the Rev. John H. Ford, CSS, of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church because of the installation of a new organ at Mount Carmel. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. All condolences are to omitted as requested. WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield is in charge of arrangements.
