Anajia Murphy-Malloy, 11

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Anajia Murphy-Malloy, 11, went to Heaven and became an Angel on Friday, January 6, 2017, surrounded by her loving family, friends and caregivers at Berkshire Meadows, where she resided.



Born on December 23, 2005 in Pittsfield, she was the cherished daughter of Susan R. Malloy and Jamie Murphy of Pittsfield. Anajia loved being read to, sung to, danced with, and cuddled . She loved visiting with her family and friends.



She also leaves her sisters Emma, Kira and Lexi Murphy-Malloy.



She was predeceased by her foster parents, Mick and Jan Mangano of Dalton, who lovingly cared for her for several years.

Anajia touched the hearts of all that met her and was welled loved in return. We want to thank the amazing staff of Berkshire Meadows and the fantastic people of Hospice.



Funeral notice: Funeral services for Anajia will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Pittsfield conducted by the Rev. Timothy Weisman, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Pittsfield. Burial will be private.



Calling hours for Anajia will be held Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church prior to the service. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Berkshire Meadows in Housatonic or Hospice Care in the Berkshires both in care of the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is handling arrangements.
