DALTON, Mass. — Dalton James Brigley, 22, of Hemlock Hill, died unexpectedly December 15, 2016.



He was born September 29, 1994 in Northampton, Mass., son of Jody L. Mathison Brigley and the late Joseph G. Brigley.



Dalton was educated in Dalton and Pittsfield schools and worked as a landscaper for Always Growing Landscaping & for T & B Trucking.



The greatest joy in Dalton's life was his daughter Rylie Jo. He loved her with all his heart.



Dalton is survived by his mother Jody Brigley and close friend Steve Brainerd, with whom he lived; his brother Morgan Mathison of Dalton; his sister Vanassa Brigley; his daughter Rylie Jo Brigley of Peru; his maternal grandparents Janet Mathison and George Still of Chesterfield; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins.



Funeral notice: Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 East Main Street, Dalton. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to his mother, Jody Brigley, in care of the funeral home.
