DALTON, Mass. — Eleanor Sager, 86, a resident of Craneville Place of Dalton, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born on June 10, 1930, in Bethlehem, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late William and Ada Outhout Sager. She was educated in Bethlehem, N.Y., schools and later moved to Albany, N.Y., where she resided at the St. Vincent's Apartments for twenty-two years.
A homemaker, she assisted her family by doing the daily housekeeping. Eleanor enjoyed reading, watching television and knitting. She also enjoyed visiting and spending time with her extended family at Craneville Place of Dalton.
She was predeceased by her brother, Elmer Sager; and by her two sisters; Ethel Kniskern and Helen Sagar. Besides her extended family at Craneville Place, she also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Funeral notice: Funeral services for Eleanor Sager, who passed away November 2, 2016, will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 Main Street, Dalton. Entombment will take place on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Graceland Cemetery in Albany, N.Y. There are no calling hours.
