PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Mrs. Concetta V. Bertola, 95, formerly of 9 Radcliffe Ave., Pittsfield, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Hillcrest Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield.



She was born in Pittsfield on May 4, 1921 a daughter of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Mauro) Veltri. She attended Pittsfield Schools. She was employed by the former Reder Variety Store on Elm St. for 10 years and for 10 years at the former Elmvale Worsted Company and she retired in 1970.



She was a former communicant of All Soul's Church and she enjoyed cooking.



Her husband Secondo V. Bertola died on January 16, 1996; they were married on August 8, 1953.



Survivors include one daughter, Sylvia L. Bertola of Pittsfield; two neices, Carmen S. Helmick and her husband Russell of Orange, Calif., and Sylvia J. Wybrant of Colorado; one nephew, Allan A. Lemone and his wife Donalyn of Benecia, Calif.; and several cousins.



She was predeceased by a son, Joseph V. Bertola, who died on February 16, 1956; and three sisters, Jennie Veltri, Tina S. Lemone and Caroline Onalfo.



Funeral notice: Services for Concetta V. Bertola will take place Friday, October 7, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, with the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker C.S.S. officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling Hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
