PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Alan Thomas Rondeau, 56, of Pittsfield died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Berkshire Medical Center.



He was born in North Adams, Mass., on July 17, 1960, son of the late Thomas G. and Carole Joan (Burdick) Rondeau.  He attended local schools, including Drury High School.



Alan was last employed as a counselor at Eagleton School. He had a big heart and enjoyed helping people. Alan also enjoyed working on cars and working in the woods. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.



Survivors include one daughter, Tanya Nicole Chittenden, and one grandson, Nicholas Chittenden, both of North Adams; two sisters, Virginia D. Rondeau and her husband Thomas Heller of North Adams and Lucinda M. McCarthy of Conway, S.C.; two brothers, William J. Rondeau and his wife Jeanine of Dalton and Timothy A. Rondeau of North Adams; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.



His sister, Jean Langdon, is deceased.  



Funeral notice: A graveside service for Alan Rondeau will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Southview Cemetery.  A memorial gathering will follow on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Clarksburg State Forest.
