PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Armand E. Bigelow, 58, of 40 Sunset St. in Pittsfield passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center.



Born on February 28, 1958 in Pittsfield, he was a son of Nicolena Cencia Bigelow of Pittsfield and the late Edward F. Bigelow Jr. A lifelong Pittsfield resident, he was educated in Pittsfield schools. Armand was employed as a laborer for over twenty years at various area contractors. He retired in 2005 due to ill health.



He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and also enjoyed playing in local pool leagues. He enjoyed fishing and following NFL Football. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings.



Besides his mother of Pittsfield, he leaves his lifelong partner, Lisa L. Drake of Pittsfield; two sons, Matthew Bigelow of Pittsfield and Dorian Bigelow of Adams; a daughter, Kareena Bigelow of Adams; four brothers, Edward, Frank, Leonard and Anthony Bigelow, all of Pittsfield; nine sisters, Charlotte Trombley of Washington, Teresa Bigelow, Louise Barnes, Hazel Romero, Tina Pularo, Celia Forth, Marianne Santana and Kerry Dillard, all of Pittsfield, and Carol French of Dalton; two grandchildren, Damon and Edward Bigelow; and many loving nieces and nephews.



He was predeceased by a son, the late Edward Bigelow.



Funeral notice: Calling hours for Armand E. Bigelow, who passed away August 19, 2016, will be held Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Dery Funeral Home in Pittsfield. A Celebration of Life will follow from 3 to 4 p.m.
