Anne M. Gachotte, 83

LENOX -- Anne M. Gachotte, 83, of Old Stockbridge Road died Wednesday morning at home.
Born in Hoboken, N.J., on Jan. 28, 1918, daughter of Adolph and Amelia Trudenk Hoff, she attended schools there and was a 1936 graduate of A.B. Davis High School in Mount Vernon, N.Y.
Mrs. Gachotte was employed by the Austen Riggs Center in Stockbridge for more than 30 years as an administrative assistant, retiring in 1991.
She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in South Lee for more than 50 years.
Her husband, Louis P. Gachotte, whom she married in 1943, died in 1973.
She leaves a sister, Frieda Swenson of Knoxville, Tenn. She is also survived by her niece, Valerie Biberdorf; her grandniece, Meredith Hough, and grandnephews, Mark, Michael and Matthew Swenson.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral will be Monday morning at 11 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in South Lee. Burial will follow in Stockbridge Cemetery. There will be no calling hours, however, the family will receive friends following the interment at the parish hall at the Church of the Good Shepherd. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to either the Church of the Good Shepherd or the Lenox Library, both in care of ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
