DALTON, Mass. — Coralie M. Ingraham, 76, died Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Born in Pittsfield on December 24, 1939, she was a daughter of the late John and Winifred Cannom Ackley. She was educated in Pittsfield and Dalton schools and was a 1957 graduate of the former Dalton High School.
She married her husband, the late Ernest L. Ingraham on January 28, 1961 at the First Congregational Church of Dalton, where she was a longtime member. He died on August 17, 2004.
Mrs. Ingraham was employed in the Food Service Department for the Central Berkshire Regional School District at Wahconah Regional High School and Craneville Elementary School for over 30 years, where she also served as the union steward. She had also worked at one time in the Pittsfield office of New England Telephone. She was a member of the Dalton Historical Commission for many years.
She loved traveling to Gloucester, Mass., and England. Also, she enjoyed music, dancing, antiquing with Prudence Fish, genealogy, doing hand crafts and crossword puzzles.
She leaves two daughters, Donna L. Lavigne and her husband Michael of Dalton and Cheryl A. Stengl and her husband Charles of Dalton; a son, Mark E. Ingraham and his wife Lisa of Marietta, Ga.; three sisters, Maxine Tatro and her husband Tom of Dalton, Wendy Fox and her husband Gary of Woodstock, Ga., and Robin Marauszwski and her husband Michael of Dawsonville, Ga.; a brother; Bruce Ackley and his wife Virginia of Alpharetta, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Lavigne, Todd Lavigne, Brett Lavigne, Ryan Stengl, Kevin Stengl, Griffin Ingraham, John Ingraham and Kate Ingraham; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, the late Douglas Ackley.
Funeral notice: Funeral services for Coralie A. Ingraham of Dalton, who died May 28, 2016, will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Dalton conducted by the Rev. Quentin Chin, interim pastor. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery in Dalton.
