PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Bruce Alan MacLean, 64, of Pittsfield died on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016, at Springside Rehabilitation. Born in North Adams on Oct. 19, 1951, a son of Alexander and Anna Meldrum MacLean, he attended schools in Williamstown and graduated from McCann Technical School in 1969. He also had lived in Pownal, Vt. He was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. MacLean was employed as a commercial painter in the tri-state area for many years. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He leaves two sons, Duncan MacLean and his wife, Megan, of Johnsonville, N.Y., and Jay MacLean and his wife, Kayleigh, of Pownal, Vt.; a stepdaughter, Jackie Berry of Bennington, Vt.; two sisters, Trudy Peck and her husband, David, of Clarksburg and Lorna Casey and her husband, James, of the state of Florida; a brother, John MacLean and his wife, Kathleen, of Hatfield; four grandchildren, Alexandria and Ryker MacLean, Jesse Peters and Skylar Berry, and nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE — A funeral service for Mr. MacLean will take place on Friday, March 4, at 1 p.m. in Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel, Main Street, Williamstown. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Veterans Section of Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. There will be no calling hours. Donations may be made to Soldier On in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247 or thank a local veteran for his or her service to our country.
