PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Joseph Moser, 88, of 12 Ventura Ave. died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at Hillcrest Commons. Born in Faida, Province of Trento, Italy on Jan. 13, 1927, a son of John and Catherine Dallafior Moser, he attended schools in Italy and graduated from high school in Amasa, Mich. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Moser was employed by the former General Electric Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1987, and also employed as a meat cutter at the Meat Center, Potsaid's Market, Whorles and Astro Beef. He had first worked as a lumberjack in Amasa before moving to Pittsfield in 1950. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and mushrooming. His wife, the former Josephine M. Latakas, who he married Dec. 27, 1950, died April 2, 2000. He leaves his son, John C. Moser of Pittsfield. His son Joseph C. Moser died on Dec. 13, 1994. FUNERAL NOTICE — At Mr. Moser's request there will be no funeral services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
