Donald Willbrant

Donald L. Willbrant, 65, of Latham, N.Y., died Saturday at Albany (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital after a year's battle with cancer.
Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 10, 1936, son of Lewis H. and Elma Billings Willbrant, he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1953 and in 1957 from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he received a bachelor's degree in business administration. At UMass, he was a member of the marching and concert bands, the Business Administration Club, the Christian Association and the Greenough House Council. He moved to Latham in 1963 and spent many summers at Lake St. Catherine, Vt.
Mr. Willbrant was employed as a credit analyst at Dun & Bradstreet in Albany for 36 years. He retired in 1993.
He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Troy, N.Y., where he was active in the Doubles Club and served as an elder, trustee and deacon. He was also a member of the Albany Rotary Club and a trustee of the Lake St. Catherine Association.
He and his wife, the former Mary-Ann McLaren, celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary July 13. They were married at First Congregational Church in North Adams.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Alan D. Willbrant of Schenectady, N.Y., and Bruce M. Willbrant of Oceanside, Calif.; a daughter, Alison D. Heck of Saratoga, N.Y., and a grandson.
