Robert Higley II

Robert Dale Warren Higley II, 29, of Ridgefield, Conn., formerly of Waverly Street, an insurance executive with Aon Risk Management Services, which had offices on the 92nd floor of the World Trade Center, is missing and presumed dead following the terrorist attack of Sept. 11.
Mr. Higley had worked at Colt Insurance Agency in Pittsfield for 11/2 years before taking a job with Aon at the World Trade Center three months ago.
Born in Libertyville, Ill., on Nov. 22, 1971, son of Douglas Higley of Louisiana and Judith Higley of Florida, he attended Ridgebury Elementary School in Ridgefield. His family moved to Bermuda and then to Louisiana. He graduated from the University of Connecticut.
Following his marriage to the former Vycki Rowley in 1994, Mr. Higley and his wife moved to Louisiana, where he worked in his family's insurance business. They later moved back to the Northeast and lived in Danbury, Conn., while he worked in the insurance business and as manager of A.J. Carnall insurance in Ridgefield. He later worked as an insurance executive in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Higley was a member of Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Ridgefield, and enjoyed golf, tennis and biking.
He and his wife were in the process of moving to a house in New Fairfield, Conn.
Besides his wife and parents, he leaves a daughter, Amanda N. Higley, 4, at home, and a daughter yet to be born; a brother, Todd Higley of Wellington, Fla.; a sister, Rachel Higley of Lafayette, La.; and his grandparents, Everett and Valda Naeve of West Palm Beach, Fla. Mr. Higley was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Beth Rowley.
