PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Harriet B. Adelson, 80, of New York City died peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at her home.
Born in Pittsfield on April 2, 1934, she was the daughter of Samuel and Sylvia Klein Adelson.
Miss Adelson was employed as a school psychologist with the New York City School System for more than 35 years.
She leaves her brother, Gordon J. Adelson of Pittsfield; her cousin Gloria Resnick of San Pedro, Calif.; three nephews, Bruce E. Adelson of South Deerfield, Mark R. Adelson of Pittsfield and Michael R. Adelson of Amston, Conn., and a niece, Ronnie Brody of Medfield.
She was predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Adelson Mezner.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Graveside services Miss Adelson will be held Sunday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. at Knesset Israel Cemetery, Peck's Road, Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Knesset Israel or the charity of the donor's choosing through Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
