Lucille R. Pellows

Lucille R. Burke Pellows, 81, of 1101 West St. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Limoges, Ontario, Canada, on July 26, 1920, daughter of Fred and Eva Lajeunesse Desabrais, she attended Pittsfield schools and was a 1939 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She also graduated from the former Berkshire Business College.
A homemaker, she was employed as a bookkeeper at Roxy & Royal Cleaners prior to her marriage.
Mrs. Pellows was a Girl Scout leader at Sacred Heart Church for five years and a volunteer at the former Immaculate Heart Seminary in Lenox for 10 years. She also volunteered at the American Red Cross for five years.
Her first husband, Walter Burke, died Feb. 22, 1985.
Her husband, William R. Pellows, died July 31.
She leaves a daughter, Kathleen F. Wesley of Beverly; two stepdaughters, Patricia P. Roy of Hinsdale and June A. Hughes of Nassau, N.Y.; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral for will be Thursday at 11 at Sacred Heart Church in Pittsfield. A private graveside service will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sam Wesley Scholarship Fund at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is in charge of arrangements.
