Lillian K. Healy

Lillian K. Healy, 94, formerly of Main Street, died Saturday at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield.
Born in Dalton on Jan. 3, 1907, daughter of Henry V. and Lucy Gorman Kirchner, she was a 1923 graduate of the former Dalton High School.
Mrs. Healy also graduated from the former Berkshire Business College, where she became secretary to the principal. She was later employed by New England Lime Co. and, for five years, was an assistant at the former Hollister School. She also worked as a receptionist at Craneville School. She moved to Lenox in 1959, where she operated a nursery school and guest house, retiring in 1974.
She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church and a member and past president of its Rosary Sodality. She was past president of the Holy Family League and a member of the choirs of St. Teresa's and St. Ann's churches for more than 21 years.
Mrs. Healy was also a member of the former Pittsfield Girls Club, the former St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary, the Senior Citizens and the Council on Aging in Lenox. She was a regular attendant at the annual Kirchner family reunions.
Her husband, James J. Healy, whom she married in April 1930, died March 28, 1954.
She leaves a son, James H. Healy of Pittsfield; a daughter, Judith A. Bossidy of Clearwater, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Another daughter, Regina M. Mackie, died in February 1976.
The funeral for will be Thursday, Sept. 27, at 8:15 from ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main St., Lenox, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Ann's Church celebrated by the Rev. Daniel B. Brunton. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 4 to 7.
