Colleen Garrity-Prudente

Colleen Marie Garrity-Prudente, 44, of 1 Michael Road, Berkley, a native of Lenox, died Thursday as a result of injuries sustained that day in a motor vehicle accident in Norton.
Born in Pittsfield on April 13, 1957, daughter of William T. and Patricia Johnson Garrity, she was a 1975 graduate of Lenox Memorial High School and a 1979 graduate of the University of Buffalo.
Mrs. Garrity-Prudente was a special-education teacher at Holbrook High School in Holbrook.
She was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church in Berkley.
She leaves her husband, Christopher M. Prudente, whom she married Jan. 18, 1992, in St. Ann's Church; two sons, Myles Pru-dente and Austin Prudente, both at home; a sister, Maureen Garrity of New York; and her grandmother, Anna Mae Johnson of Lenox, who raised her and her sister after their mother's death.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held today at 10 at St. Ann's Church, 134 Main St., Lenox, with the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor, and the Rev. Daniel B. Brunton, as celebrants. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Prudente Children's Education Trust Fund, in care of Paul Bradley, P.O. Box 1110, Ossining, NY 10562. Hawthorne Funeral Home of Hawthorne, N.Y., and ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main St., Lenox, shared responsibility for the arrangements.
