John Beauchamp

John Richard Beauchamp, 34, of 91 Appleton Ave. died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center after being stricken earlier that evening.
Born in Pittsfield on May 28, 1967, son of Antoinette Andrews Beauchamp of Pittsfield and the late George R. Beauchamp, he was a 1985 graduate of Pittsfield High School and attended Berkshire Community College.
Mr. Beauchamp was employed by Country Curtains since 1994, beginning as a computer operator and later being promoted to supervisor of programming. He previously had been employed as the manager of two family-owned video store businesses and the Master Darkroom on Tyler Street and West Housatonic Street.
He was a former altar boy at St. Mary's Church and treasurer of the Country Curtains Good Neighbor Club. He was active in the Junior Achievement and United Way, and enjoyed reading and playing cards.
Besides his mother, he leaves a brother, Brett L. Beauchamp of Pittsfield, and two sisters, Renee Ostellino and Nicole A. Maffuccio, both of Pittsfield.
Funeral services for Mr. Beauchamp will be held Friday, Sept. 21, at 10:15 a.m. from DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Red Cross Disaster and Relief Fund or to the American Lung Association in care of Dery Funeral Home.
