Regina D'Amore

Regina D'Amore, 88, of 47 Pomeroy Ave. died Saturday at home.

Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 17, 1913, daughter of Antonio and Concetta Federico Pascetta, she attended schools in Pittsfield until 1923, when she moved to Italy.

Mrs. D'Amore moved to New York City in 1953, where she was employed by Macy's department store for several years. She returned to Pittsfield in 1988.

She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and enjoyed reading and flower gardening.

Her husband, Pio D'Amore, whom she married April 28, 1947, died Oct. 18, 1987.

She leaves three sisters, Anna Mastrodicasa, Rose Salvitti and Nicoletta Salvitti, all of Pittsfield. Other survivors include several nieces, nephews, greatnieces, greatnephews. Mrs. D'Amore was predeceased by a brother, Silvino Pascetta, and sisters Maria Coco, Chiara Mastrodicasa and Teresa Ceccomancini.


The funeral will be tomorrow, Sept. 18, at 9 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church celebrated by the Rev. John H. Ford, CSS. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today, Sept. 17, from 5 to 7. Memorial donations may be made to the Mount Carmel Church Centennial Fund in care of the funeral home.
